The Illinois Valley Family Coalition (IVFC) has been a pillar of support in the Illinois Valley community of Southern Oregon since its establishment in 1992. Founded with the mission of assisting those in need, IVFC has continuously evolved to meet the diverse needs of the community.
Initially established as a response to the challenges faced by low-income, rurally isolated families, IVFC has grown to become a comprehensive resource center providing prevention, education, advocacy, and referral services. Located in Cave Junction, IVFC serves residents across the Illinois Valley, including O’Brien, Takilma, Kerby, and Selma, encompassing an estimated population of 18,000 people.
Over the past two decades, IVFC has played a vital role in supporting the community through four core program areas: Advocacy, Personal Services, Career Support, and Community Classes. These programs have directly impacted thousands of individuals, with the organization serving approximately 3,000 unduplicated persons annually.
Looking forward, the Illinois Valley Family Coalition is dedicated to bolstering its role as a vital resource hub for the Illinois Valley community. With a steadfast commitment to meeting the ever-changing needs of our residents, IVFC is prioritizing efforts to enhance its capacity and support our community partners.
